Located on the river Croal, the town of Bolton falls under Greater Manchester. In the past days the town used to be centre of cotton industry, and is currently known to be a major industrial town, and has become one of the greatest retail centers around Greater Manchester.

The Animal World has been set up within the Moss Bank Park and is known to house different varieties of birds and animals.
