Malmo Sights and Landmarks Guide, Sweden

The Cog Museum. This is a one of a kind medieval center found at the port of Malmo. The city’s history is presented through the circles all-around the two full-sized cog reproductions. Tourists can visit the exhibitions and the medieval-style shop plus they can explore through the replica of one of the world’s biggest cog.

Leksaksland Toy Museum. This museum is especially made for tourists traveling with the whole family. The collection in Leksaksland is over a thousand including Barbie and Harry Potter toys. Children will surely enjoy the playroom, gift shop and the scary room.

Malmo Art Museum. This art museum has the biggest compilation of artworks of 20th century Nordic Art. It hosts temporary art exhibits and rarely-seen artworks.

Malmo Sights – Favorite Attractions

Tourists who have gone to the city of Malmo can see their most wanted tourist destinations. Malmo Sights include landmarks that are as spectacular as Gothenburg Sights and reflects the history, heritage and impeccable architecture of the city.

Oresund Bridge. On July 01, 2000, after a hundred years of arguing whether to build a permanent link between Denmark and Sweden, the Oresund Bridge was finally put in place. This 15.4 kilometer bridge is one of the most viewed sights in Malmo. The best spot to view this link between Sweden and Denmark is at the Lernecken and Luftkastellet restaurant.

Malmohus Castle. In 1542, this castle was constructed according to the stylistic principles of the Renaissance. The royal family of Denmark often used to stay in the castle during their vacation. After Malmo was turned over to Sweden, the castle became the headquarters of Swedish military forces.

Malmo Sights – Fun and Recreation

Malmo City offers visitors a chance to have fun while relaxing. There are a number of places in the city where tourists can leave their worries behind and just unwind.

Slottstradgarden. Visitors of the Malmohus Castle can have a side trip at this breathtaking organic garden, as it is just right behind the palace. Fresh-picked flowers and vegetables can be bought along with some exciting flowers. One of the smallest and most delightful cafes can also be found in the garden.

Ribersborgs Kallbadhus. This is a gorgeous building made completely of wood and built on poles about a hundred meters from the shore. The baths located here are calming and delightful especially ideal for people who want to sunbathe without the worry of getting their swimsuits soiled from sand. The bathhouse also has a separate division for men and women, showers, and sauna.
