If you are done with sightseeing in Arequipa, don’t think your trip is over. The party has just begun! A taxi would take five minutes from the city center to take you to the Dolores Avenue that has very nice pubs and discotheques. The bars and clubs of Arequipa are known to the local party crowd and they’re not even very expensive to spend the night.

 There are also some bars that have the concept of ‘happy hour’. These bars can be found on Plaza de Armas.

For a great atmosphere, go to Soho Pub. The place has great music and drinks to go with it all without an entry fee.

In a mood to go dancing? There are a number of karaoke bars and discs to be found in Arequipa. Casona Forum is a place where you are sure to find your kind of dancing beats. A bar called Retro giving the 80s feel is on the ground floor. Going up on the second floor, one can find a pub called Zero that plays amazing rock.

To get amazing views of the city that has volcanoes as its backdrop and enjoy good music and drinks at the same time, you can go up to a pub cum restaurant called Terrace in the same building. If you find the place very stuffy, you can continue climbing the stairs and you will reach a complete smoke free area of this restaurant. Relaxed on a couch with a drink in your hand and a spectacular view of the city, you will feel that life has come full circle for you.

What adds to the cool nightlife of Arequipa is the party hard attitude of the locals and the ease with which they allow tourists to get in. In addition, most of these places don’t have any strict dress code, with few exceptions.
