Nuevo Laredo Sights and Landmarks Guide, Mexico

The city of Nuevo Laredo is famous for the vibrant colors it presents to people visiting this country. Like most cities in Mexico this city of Nuevo Laredo is also famous for its culture, folklore, traditions, and history it has preserved well.

All you need to do is use the International Bridge which connects America to Mexico. Once you arrive in Mexico you will find yourself immersed in the pleasant atmosphere. The city of Nuevo Laredo will bring in mariachi music accompanied by baby goat (known as cabrito), tortillas, beans (known as frijolitos), and lastly beef fajitas. Various bars and restaurants are famous for their awesome menus and the best part being that they are situated just few steps away from the northern boundary of the city. The downtown area of Nuevo Laredo is also famous for the cultural handcrafts and many historical monuments that preserved the beauty of olden times.

Historical Archives is an awesome building which has a great collection of items that were part of the history.You will find the secrets of almost every important incident that had happened in the city of Nuevo Laredo during its history. Situated nearby is the Railroad Museum thus enhancing your historical knowledge to better extents. The first history book ever written for the city of Nuevo Laredo is also part of this archive. It was written during the last years of the19th century.

Founder’s Monument is said to be the best monument that represents the city of Nuevo Laredo. This structure was built in the year 1958 by the Federal Board of Material Improvements. It was built in the memory of 118 families that were responsible for founding the city of Nuevo Laredo in the year 1848.

The Cultural Center of Nuevo Laredo is another must visit place for history lovers due to the history books that have been collected in the library of this monument. This center is also famous for the cultural shows that it regularly organizes so as to attract more tourists. The capacity of this huge cultural center is of around 1200.

Some other famous tourist hot spots in the city of Nuevo Laredo are Holy Child Temple, Day of the Dead, and Plaza Hidalgo.
