Ensenada Sights and Landmarks Guide, Mexico

The city of Ensenada is famous for many climates that converge in this area. The merging of various climates into the landscape of this city reflects the awesome natural beauty of this city. This has helped tourism industry a lot as in last few years many visitors have visited the city and the number is increasing with every passing year. Tagged as the Cinderella of Pacific, the city of Ensenada has every possible kind of natural beauty which a tourist looks for when he / she visits any city.

Gray Whale Watching has become an important tourist attraction. From the month of December till the month of April huge numbers of gray whales are visible in the famous bay of Ensenada which has been named as the bay of saints. These whales actually arrive from the cold waters of Alaska somewhere in the early days of November so as to give birth to new babies in the warm and pleasant waters of this famous bay. They swim for over 6000 miles to reach this bay which has now become a winter sanctuary for these whales.

Rustic Paintings, which are found in almost every cave in and around the city, are a must see for history lovers and for art lovers. Along with these caves, you can enjoy the mountainous regions and the lush green surroundings. The first tribe which had settled in this area, where today the city of Ensenada is located, was Cochimies and historians say that it was this tribe that is responsible for creating these cave paintings. Similar paintings are available in nearby areas thus suggesting the reach of this tribe during those historical years.

The Blowhole present in the city of Ensenada is amongst the top three geysers present on this planet. Once the water touches ground, it rises to a height of around 20 m thus producing a great scene. Along with this, the water also produces a different kind of sound and that’s why it was named as blowhole (also called as Bufadora in Mexican language).

Some other tourist hot spots in the city of Ensenada are various missions, the famous valley of Guadalupe, the awesome wine route, and the beautiful bay of all saints.
