Multiplexes offering the latest international movie releases can be found all over the city. The Al-Fanar multi screen cinema which can be found in the Al-Fanar Shopping Centre shows everything from Hollywood flicks to Arabian movies. For more serious movie goers the IMAX Cinema located in Gulf road provides a host of documentary films. 

No visit to any city can be complete without exploring its culinary experience. In order to get a feel of Kuwait's Arabian roots, it is a must that one dines on authentic Arabian cuisine. Despite the city's modern look, establishments serving traditional food can be found everywhere. If the mere mention of foods such as Shish Kabob and Shish Taouk has your mouth watering, a visit to the café Zahrat Al Midaen in Safat is a definite must. Not only will you enjoy the succulent menu, but you can also pick out desserts as Baklawa and Konafa to take home with you. If you are in the mood for grilled seafood, a classier alternative is the Al-Boom situated next to the Radisson SAS Hotel in Safat. This restaurant is housed in a ‘dhow' boat, and is famous for its authentic grilled meat and seafood.

If you are feeling adventurous try out some Indian and Lebanese cuisines, these are similar to Arabian fare, and can be just as delicious. Try out the Tandoori Chicken and Mutton Biryani in Mughal Mahal restaurant or the Mais Al Gahanim in Safat for the best in Lebanese cuisines The shawarmas and falafels served up are sure to have you smacking your lips!
