Tegucigalpa History

The name of the city means ‘silver hill’ in the infamous Lencan language, and is supported by the fact that the early miners in the district found silver in Tegucigalpa. However this theory is once again in a controversy as it is said that Native Americans did not mine silver and if they did, would not have named a hill after it. Tegucigalpa Nightlife

Living up to the Honduran tradition, the city has some discotheques. El Nilo Ai Kap Bar flaunts its Egyptian décor with a monumental Nile flowing right in the middle of the disco. The disco offers about 220 seats and is opened from Wednesday  to Saturday. The bar has an exotic menu but the snack menu is small.
