Sisak Nightlife, Croatia

Sisak Nightlife – The Main Cafes

Sisak Nightlife is popular in the region mainly during the summer when many tourists and locals stop to sip a good coffee at one of the many cafes on the river Kupa or right in the centre of the town. Thanks to their good position, along the rivers Sava or Kupa, 93 miles from Rijeka and 110 miles from Zadar, the cafes in Sisak are full from early in the morning till late at night.

As there is such a demand for coffee and a pleasant atmosphere, a lot of cafes opened and the owners came up with the brilliat idea of having nights full of beer sponsored by beer producers, Tuborg being one of the best exemples in this way. On such ocasions the beer promoters organize drinking competitions offering as prizes souvenirs like T-shirts, key rings, whistles and many others.

There is a typical café as in all European cities called The City Café situated in the centre of Sisak and frequented by the elder inhabitants of the town who go there to socialize, have a cup of coffee, read the newspaper or find the latest news and gossip related to the personalities of the city.

There are also plenty of cafes and bars full of young people willing to spend a nice evening on the banks of river Sava while admiring the passing boats.

Cafe Mirage is well known in the region as a pleasant place where good strong coffee is served.

Sisak Nightlife – The Best Clubs and Restaurants

Mali Kaptol is considered by diners one of the best restaurants in Sisak. This is why if a tourist happens to ask for good food in a good restaurant, the locals strongly advice him to go in the centre of the town on the Kupa River shore that definitely cannot be missed. The staff is always ready to welcome you with a smile, a nicely uttered “good evening” and a list of good quality delicacies made of natural food. One should trust the chef’s imagination and ability to create tasty, delicious dishes.

“The Rotary Club” is a famous local club built six years ago thanks to the existing branch club in Zagreb which also monitors its activity. This club organizes many humanitarian actions, such examples are the actions: ‘’Night of 100 Dinners’’, ‘’Adopt a Minefield’’ that were meant to start a demining process in some villages. With the same purpose, Paul McCartney signed a t-shirt that was sold at an auction organized on the internet.

Sisak Nightlife would not be the same without the Admiral Automat Club Sisak located in a cultural monument building that is protected by authorities and can be found on an easy to reach street of the town. It is an important street as the most significant commercial and entertainment activities take place there. In this friendly area, you can enjoy yourself in a modern club that has 31 Admiral slot machines and an electronic roulette. There is also a café inside called The Oliver’s Café”.

Chess lovers can go and entertain themselves in the city’s chess club that has at least 100 years of tradition.

Incredible night shows are organized during local events, the best known being the Knights’ Tournament, an event that brings fun, fireworks, lights, sports, food and drinks once a year, in June.

The clubs and cafes in Sisak, the banks of the rivers Kupa and Sava, the local events are all in favor of tourists who should not miss nights in Sisak.
