Some of the most visited sights in Santa Cruz are:

El Fuerte de Samaipta: this place is about 2 hours drive from the main city through beautiful lush green foothills of the Andean Mountains. You can see the Inca ruins here and also enjoy stunning scenery on the way. Close to this place is Valleygrande where Che Guevara had his revolution and was executed.

Jesuit Missions of Chiquitos: this trip is geared towards the colonial art, religion, culture and history. You get to see numerous small towns of the eastern Bolivia’s tropical lowlands. You will also be shown the beautiful, historical churches of 16th & 17th century on this tour.

 

Amboro National Park: on the main road to Cochahamba, around 3 hours away on the northwest of Santa Cruz is this National Park. It is known for its countless wildlife. It has one of the most diverse and pristine habitats in the world.

El Pantanals: this is the world’s largest wetland. It spreads across Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay. It has the world’s richest collection of aquatic plants that are not only beautiful but some varieties are also rarely found. They offer exciting boat rides. You can take these excursions to go through the Panatals and spot the abundant wildlife.

Noel Kempff National Park: this national park is 400 km to the northwest of Santa Cruz. It is worth visiting as you can discover not only the magnificent scenery in this diverse region of Amazon Forest but also the exotic birds and rare animals like monkeys, caimans and pink river dolphins etc.
