Barley Hall was once the house of a very rich man in York. It dates way back to 1483. It was dug by the York Trust in the 1980s, much to the amazement of the archeologists. The house has been fully and naturally preserved. Work commenced right away on the restoration of the home, and now Barley Hall provides a close look at the lifestyle of the owner of the house during his lifetime.
