Rotterdam is a city in South Holland, Netherlands with a population of approximately 590 000 inhabitants in the city itself and 1 600 000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area. This is a port city, is part of the ports of departure for the big transatlantic. Rotterdam became a city officially in 1340, with massive evolution in the passing of the years, so it became from fishing village, an international transport, trade and industry center Unfortunately, during the Second World War, the whole downtown was destroyed, but the city has managed to rise from the ashes and today is a modern city.

In Rotterdam we can visit the following buildings: the Boymans Van Beuningen Museum, Euromast and space adventure, the Gateway to Europe, the Maasboulevard. Boulevard.

I am quite confused on what are you talking about in this article, is it about Rotterdam's History, or as a whole with it's history, sights, tourist spots or something. It seems you did not finish this article, no proper ending so to speak. Maybe trying to clear things out here in your article will make the article more informative to readers.

Rotterdam History

By the year 1872 Rotterdam had its own port which was named as Nieuwe Waterwag. By the year 1898 the city had its own skyscraper which was called as Witte Huis (which meant White House Skyscraper). At that time this was the tallest building in Europe with the height being around 45 meters. The city progress did halt during the World War due to invasion by Germany but after the 1950s it was rebuilt with more precision. The hard work of the locals and the government clearly reflects in this newly built city. We have many such guides in our archives and once you are done reading Rotterdam History then do remember to give some time to them too.... Read more »
