Meteora is the second best known monastic settlement on the Greece teritory afther Athos Montain. Meteora is situated on the north-west parte of The Tesaly Plain not far away from the city of Kalambaka. This trend was incurred due to a cone-shaped delta, consisting of river stones and mud, which spilled into the old lake tessalic. After separation of massive geological mountains of Olympus and Osseor, lake waters were found locked in the Aegean Tembi valley. Then this massive delta-shaped to divide the huge stones and compact rocks with heights of up to 4,000 meters.
In present there are 24 monasteries some of them are now just ruins but other are still functioning.

Now a kaleidoscope of a thousand colors, Kavala glimmers like a jewel against the inky night sky. Before you embark on nocturnal festivities around the city, you simply must partake on the delectable Greek and marine dishes that Kavala’s finest restaurants have to offer.... Read more »
