Things to do in Cologne, Germany
Reviews > Europe > Germany > Cologne > Things to do in Cologne
Cologne is one crazy large and fun town that may be worth a visit when in Germany. Its closely located near Düsseldorf as well, so there are plenty of places you can visit.
Cologne is nicely set by the Rhine River so there is plenty to do during the summer months. Furthermore, the city offers several town festivals most importantly the Cologne Carnival. There are some 2 Million visitors, the trains are packed with drunk people and the hotels are sold out during this period. Nevertheless, you won't get much sleep anyway when you go there.
The main tourist attraction in Cologne is probably the Cologne Dome, which is the largest and most important catholic church in Germany.
