The city of Ciudad Juárez (famous amongst the locals by the shorter version ‘Juárez’) was initially known by the name of El Paso del Norte (which means Northern Pass in English) somewhere in 1659 when Spanish Rulers were looking for a path through the Rocky Mountains.  It was during the year 1862 that the city of Ciudad Juárez had served as a stoppage for the army being led by Benito Juárez.
