There are various historical landmarks in the city including the Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, the Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Palace Museum and the Sultan Ibrahim Building. The natural attractions of the place include the Johor Zoo, the Saleng Zoo, the Haji Ali House and the Orchid Valley. Johor Baharu has been reasonably known for the golf courses available there.
