Butuan City Nightlife, Philippines

As the city progresses, nightlife in Butuan City is slowly getting livelier. Nightlife consists mostly of nightclubbing, early-night shopping, fine dining and resort camping.

You can pick from any hotels to chill, lounge, dine and sleep over. Clubbing at Sultan Hotel might be fun when you’re with friends and relatives. You can belt some tunes out and savor some pica-pica dishes at Karaga Hotel’s KTV bar called Bluehaven. Meters ahead, you can spot the most happening place in town, the Caraga Square. Most locals and tourists flock to this outdoor venue to hear great music from live bands from Thursday to Saturday. You can dance endlessly to the beat of pop, rock, R & B, reggae and retro songs. Live acoustic performances are also enjoyed from Sunday to Wednesday. Party butterflies just dress casually for comfortable feel.

You might want to drop by Gaisano Mall for shopping and dining before finally hitting the dance floor in Caraga Square. Coffee drinking also takes a more active aspect of night fun. Conversations over a cup of café mocha, cappuccino, brewed coffee or café late are more enjoyed by adults who’ve been through a lot of loud partying already.

If you’re staying in a hotel or beach resort, you’ll spot that people just usually chill at the lobby or in-house bistros and bars to enjoy some Margarita, beer or wine.  You can pick any of Butuan’s nice facilities like Almont Inland Resort, Dottie’s Place, Balanghai Hotel, Tubay Mountain Beach Resort and Inland Resort Hotel. At Dottie’s, the billiard hall and mini bar is flocked by adults and yuppies. Alternatively, you might want to get the ambience of Butuan’s low-profile nightlife by forming a group who’s up for great conversations in logging camps.

If you’re a total music fanatic, you can listen to great bands performing at Big Joe’s. It may be loud as expected as it is in another hang-out place called El Pomodoro.

From 10 in the evening until dawn, you can drink all you can and dance your heart away. Other places that you might want to spend your night at are Weegols, Red Apple, Lutong Bahay ni Aling Cora, Mom’s & Pop’s Eatery and Video-K, Blue Lagoon Bar and Amicus Bar.

Whether it is low-key, fun or loud music clubbing you are down with, Butuan has it for you. It may not be the most luxurious spot to be, but you’ll be amused.
