Halifax Nightlife, Nova Scotia

Halifax is a city located on the boundary of the Atlantic Ocean, and home to more than 360,000 people. This is considered to be about 40% of the population of Nova Scotia. Though the city has a remote place on maps, it is mainly because of the seductive appeal the city boasts of.

Halifax is a city that does its own thing at its own pace. And similarly, its nightlife is something different from the nightlife you find in any other place because of the creativity and different points of view the people of Halifax harbor.

The popular hangouts in Halifax when the sun goes down are neighborhood bars and pubs. However if you are looking for something different, there are other nightlife venues you can visit. Wherever you go, the best thing you can do is to relax with a glass of cold beer, a martini or some pinot noir.

Make a friend or a client in the bars of Halifax

With the people of Halifax being a friendly lot, loving their nightlife, you are sure to find someone nearby to chat with. You never know, in the process, you may make a new friend or a very important business contact.

The Seahorse is a local bar of Halifax worth visiting. Though there is not much to say for its interiors or ambience, this joint has a huge aquarium, pool tables, has a continuous stock of beer, the other regular drinks of a bar and deafening rock and roll music. Definitely a place both locals and visitors can’t miss.

Dance your heart away

Entertainment Dome, or as it is popularly referred to as by locals, the Liquor Dome, is another popular spot of Halifax. This is a hangout offering DJ-spun music, which has people crowding to its dance floor every night. There are two bars here, the Cheers, and the Attic bar that plays live rock music and is located above the Cheers.

If you want some serious dancing, head to the Marquee Club of Halifax. There are great bands located here that play for the youth clientele of the city who are looking for a great time during the nightlife of Halifax.

The Slit Crow was once called the Double Eagle. Though it is now housed in a different place, it offers the same spirit it used to offer to the visitors of the old pub. While in the pub, you can enjoy heaps of fries, burgers and other similar pub food with continuous refills of your favorite beer.
