Other tourist attractions in town are the Evangelic Church, the Reformed Church and the Franciscan Monastery. The Evangelic Church was initially built in 1842 in neoclassic style by Cari Brukenthal, who had the major financial contribution. In 1753 the old church was burnt down, and a new brick edifice was built instead housing a very valuable Bible printed in German in 1544, being available for visitors to admire until today. The Reformed Church houses several remaining colonnades, stone decorations and organ from the old church which was completely destroyed.... Read more »
