The best way to reach Szombathely is by train that connects the city to other cities in the country. Most tourists arrive at the airport in the capital city of Hungary. From Budapest, passengers can take one of the 15 express trains travelling to Szombathely in which the travel time is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. There are 8 trains that go daily from Gyor.
