Snorkeling and jetski in Honolulu, Hawaii

Visiting Honolulu is in many ways very much similar to visiting other large cities. Honolulu is a large city with traffic, tall building, and all the pros and cons of a large metropolitan area. I enjoyed Honolulu, but of course the rest of Hawaii is much more interesting, more beautiful and more romantic.

While in Honolulu, there are plenty of things to see. Hanoma Bay is one of the nicest beaches to see. There are thousands of fish everywhere and the entire bay is truly beautiful. Also, when I was there I was snorkling with turtles.

Another nice place to visit is Diamond Head, which is basically a look out over the island. I liked the climb up, even though Hawaii is naturally quite hot. Be sure to bring water when you go.

Finally, go visit Pearl Harbour is another must visit. Nothing exhilarating to report about a place that was witness to one of World War II's most desasterous defeat of the US Pacific fleet. Anyhow, like any of these memorial sites, it's important to go and understand the history and prey for the victims.

While in Hawaii, visit one of the many nice romantic beaches, restaurants, bars etc.

Thanks, Pear harbour is basically a port with warships. The memorial also has the USS Arizona which is still in the water and you can walk around still seeing some oil escape from the belly of the ship. You can only imagine how bad it must have been back then... You can also get on the USS Missouri and get a real good feeling of how humongous these ships really are.

Hey,
This is a good one.
But what should I see on Pearl Harbour and how should I get there?

Honolulu History

Honolulu, HI, United StatesHonolulu, like the rest of the Hawaiian State, has seen some sort of habitation since the time that the Polynesian migrants made their way into these volcanic islands. Nevertheless, the beginning of Honolulu history dates back to the reign of Kamehameha I (of the House of Kamehameha) who established the Kingdom of Hawaii. Following the capture of Oahu in the Battle of Nuuanu, Kamehameha I founded the Hawaiian Kingdom; by 1809, he chose Honolulu as the site of his royal court. Before he could do so, however, another important episode of Honolulu history has already taken place – Captain William Brown of Great Britain had reached Honolulu... Read more »
