Hi there, I’m writing this article to share with you my trip with the family to one of the greatest dripstone cave in the Romania.
This is situated near Chiscau, at it is full with tourists almost every time. The cave is about 800 m long, and it is full with really great dripstone formations, with different forms and of course with different fictional names, like: elf, house, rocket, etc. You can shot some photos only if you pay a fee for it and as usual you can’t touch anything.
The presentation is about 30 min. and you will get some really great information about the exploration of the cave, and some of the formations, and how the dripstone is formatted. Did you know? For one cm3 of dripstone you have to wait 100 years… It is really great.
Also in the cave was found some prehistorically bear bounds, this is why the cave was named the Bear’s Cave.
If you decide to visit this cave don’t forget about tick cloths because the temperature in the cave is constantly fewer than 8 Celsius.
After you visit the cave you should buy a lot of souvenirs just around the cave from the market places, like stones, hats, and others.
Near the cave it is a good place to camping and picnic with a lot of grass and a little brook.Things about Chiscau you may be interested in
