Although I had little time in Montreal, I thought that this was an absolute gem. The old town is fantastic and I really enjoyed the climb up to the mountain where you have a wonderful view over the entire city. A real nice mix between old and young buildings and a real clean well maintained place.

People are very friendly and most of them speaks English, although French is their mothertongue. You can have pleasant conversations with locals in some nice pubs or on terraces next to a drink.

Montreal, QC, CanadaTo see it all head for the lookout at the Chalet du Mont-Royal in the Parc du Mont-Royal and you will also see the stone houses of Vieux-Montréal along the bank of the river. What you won’t be able to see is the city underground with all the venues (shops, restaurants, movie theatres) you can spend your time during the winter. During the warm seasons of the entertainment choices we can mention: the Casino de Montréal, the La Ronde amusement park and the Lac de l'Île Notre-Dame public beach. A good meal at one of the restaurants... Read more »
