My Airplane Trip to Manila, Philippines

We booked our flight going to Manila for a 2am flight. My husband who is really very keen on following rules, policies etc said we should be there 2 hours before our flight. So we rode a taxi going to the airport and arrived around 12 midnight. Wow I was really amazed, only a number of people are just inside the airport. We went to Waterfront Hotel which is just a walking distance from the airport and eat there, midnight snacks or a breakfast.
Anyways, after we ate at Waterfront and 2hours later, being inside the airport going to all those checking etc, we board inside the plane and guess what? It was scary for me, I had to pass this some sort of a tunnel which connects the plane from the airport to let the passengers get inside the plane.
Now the moment of truth, we sat on the plane and my hubby was telling me regarding how a plane takes off and the maneuver all those things, he said that I will just hold him tight if I felt scared, nervous etc. He was really supportive and make sure I felt comfortable and okay for my first time riding in an airplane.
The plane was about to take off and I can feel something is pulling my stomach, what a feeling! Then, I can feel the plane is going up and when I look outside the window I can see the rooftops of the different houses and they looked smaller when we the plane took off. When the plane was on it's normal level, I felt a little bit settled down and no fear anymore. We are just chatting with my hubby and wait until we arrived in Manila.
It took about less than an hour from Cebu to Manila. We rode an airplane from Cebu Pacific, it's cheaper and faster. In totality, it was a great flight for a newbie like me.

Manila in Brief Retrospect The city of Manila which is today the capital and prime city of the Philippines actually began as a Muslim settlement in the mid 16th century. The name Manila was derived from its earliest moniker Maynilad giving reference to a flowering mangrove common to the area the Nilad. The Spanish Take-over in 1570 The... Read more »
