The World's Best Island, Honolulu, Hawaii

Many people come to Hawaii thinking you can travel between the islands by ferry. In fact, it’s only possible in "Maui Nui" – a family of five islands that once ago were one. Molokai, Lanai, Molokini and Kahoolawe lie so close to Maui it seems you can reach out and touch them, creating a scenic bounty like none other, and phenomenal opportunities for adventure and exploration.

While you can’t visit Kahoolawe, which is reserved for native Hawaiians, the Marine Preserve of Molokini is one of the world’s premiere snorkeling and scuba spots. As for the main islands, Maui is consistently voted the “World’s Best Island”, for her stunning beauty, thrilling activities, incomparable golf, world-class resorts, award-winning cuisine, and endless beaches. And something more, too, something everyone calls “The Magic of Maui”.

Sister island Molokai is outdoor adventure at its finest – Mother Nature’s favorite Hawaiian island. Kayak and dive pristine reefs. Bike over soaring sea cliffs. Explore untouched valleys and beaches.

Secluded Lanai is an enticing island like no other. Home to two ultra-luxurious resorts, the isle is a perfect haven from the ordinary. Golf, archery, English clay shooting, luxurious spa treatments – plus spectacular scenery, cultural landmarks, and welcome peace and quiet.

The only thing you can see is a simple white memorial that you can visit for free. Among its visitors are many Japanese that can even read about their side of the story. Another visited site around Honolulu is the small island of Waikiki separated from it by the sea and a canal. It is mostly a commercial place and the main entertainment is shopping,... The perfect vacation on Hawaii - Mar 6, 2008, by lindamura
So much of Hawaii's appeal is tied to aloha, affection and love, it’s surprising to find there’s no word in the Hawaiian language for romance. Hard to believe, too, because if ever a destination inspired romance, it’s... Read more »
