Forstau is a small skiing resort located 6 km from Radstadt, Austria. The Slopes are on the Tauern mountains, the highest in Austria.

The best way to get there from Salzburg is using the Autobahn 10 towards Villach. You take the Radstadt exit and from there you follow the sign to Forstau. The resort is made up of 10 buildings used as hotels, motels, apartements to rent and the ski complex including a restaurant, lift and skischool.

The resort is situated at 930 m altitude, the lifts can get you to an altitude of 1500 m.

There are a lot of slopes for every age and level. The lifts for the whole region cost 150,- EUR for 5 days per person.

A highlight is the ski school. They teach kids beginning from 3 years up. The teachers are very dedicated.

The kids are in the school from 10 am to 3 pm. The course costs 195,- EUR lunch included. The course is highly efficient, the arevery motivated. The highlight of the 5 days course is the professionally organized race between the kids. The winner gets the "gold" medal and everybody gets a diploma.

We were very pleased with the service there, which was offered for a reasonable price.
