Healthy food

It’s amazing how many people still believe that taste and health do not go well together. We believe the contrary is true and wanted to introduce some great healthy ways to satisfy your appetite when traveling. Especially, when you are ready to do some sightseeing it’s incredibly important not to over-eat with heavy foods which tend to make you sleepy and often give you an uncomfortable feeling.

We picked a selection of cities and restaurants to give you an idea what to eat to get your extra energy and vitamins in order to make the most of your travel experience.

Organic-Veggie

Boulder

From African to Pacific Rim, and everything in between, Boulder has something for everyone's palate. The 70 organic artisanal farms in and around Boulder bring Colorado's organic acreage the second-largest in the country (after California). "Local," "seasonal" and "sustainable" are the founding principles of the local ag industry, and the Slow Food movement is gaining strength every day.

Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant

Enjoy a variety of organic menu items prepared with fresh, local produce and served in a casual ambience. Offers a variety of contemporary cuisine and a full bar of drinks, wines, spirits, organic teas and coffees. Lunch and weekend brunch prices moderate, dinner more.

VG Burgers

Organic fast food restaurant serving burgers, chili chreese dog, baked fries, mac & cheese, shakes, salads, agave sweetened fountain sodas, and more. Plant-based, wind-powered, zero-waste.

Santa Cruz

Ocean-fresh seafood, an emphasis on natural ingredients, casual atmosphere and an eclectic mix of ethnic cuisines characterize Santa Cruz's culinary culture.

Dharma's RestaurantA natural, vegetarian food restaurant with huge portions and great food. Try some old favorites with a new vegetarian attitude. Large variety entrees, soups, salads, side dishes, vegetarian Indian foods. It has also vegan desserts.Engfer Pizza WorksNot 100% Vegetarian. Offers vegan pizza cooked in wood stove made-to-order, tofutti cuties ice cream, specialty beer and root beer selection.

Seafood

Boston

Walk the streets of Boston and history is around you everywhere. You'll come for the Revolutionary sites along the Freedom Trail, but the seasoned Boston traveler will know to search out the unusual - like the Ether Dome, where ether was first used - and the bizarre - the small bocce court in the North End built along the path of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919.

But that's only a part of your visit to Boston! From museums to pro sports, from fresh seafood to Italian cuisine, Boston has something for everyone.

Great Bay Restaurant

Great Bay is one of the hottest restaurants in Boston, and it has earned this reputation with its consistently excellent seafood dishes. Seared kingfish topped with macadamia nuts and melt-in-your-mouth salmon are just two of the many main courses you have the opportunity to sample. The Bay's interior has an offbeat, underwater theme, but it comes across nicely and makes guests feel comfortable while dining. The "island" separating the suave lounge from the main dining area actually doubles as a raw bar, one where the Duxbury osyters and halibut tacos always hit their marks.

KingFish Hall

Owned by chef and restaurateur Todd English, this great seafood restaurant is awash in vivid color. Seafood comes from the kitchen steaming hot and tender, as you'll see after ordering crispy bass. Grilled quail satay is also delicious, and you'll find a notable bar scene and a well-selected wine list. In addition, KingFish hosts an exceptional Sunday brunch. Be warned, though, that noise levels can reach epic proportion when diners really pack the place.

Boulder Travel guide

Boulder, CO, United StatesBut Boulder’s prime attraction for both its residents and its visitors are the 30,000 acres of open space, 56 parks, and 200 miles of trails. The best way to make the most of all this space is biking and the most evident proof of its residents love for it is that there are about 100,000 bicycles in Boulder and they also use them as their prime way of transport. Boulder is a perfect destination for families as the children will definitely not get bored with all that the city has in store for them. Outdoor attractions include children as their main visitors as they offer the best entertainment opportunities for them. One of them is the... Read more »
