After seeing the castles we went back to visit Brasov one of the biggest cities in Romania.

After finding a place to park our car (without paying a fee:)) we went to see the city center and the famous Black Church. I've already been there once so I knew the way and we didn't get lost:) Unfortunately we arrived at about 6 PM and the Church had been opened only till 5 o'clock (when I was there last it wasn't opened too because it was Sunday...this is my luck...). But we made some pictures of it and went further.

Brasov has a big and very clean square in the center. I liked it very much because there were lot of doves walking around.

From the square we had a beautiful view of the mountains. And there was a funny thing, too: on one of the hills was a Brasov sign, you know, like in Hollywood:)

We couldn't spend too much time in this city because we had to find a place to sleep for that night, but I think we saw the best part of it:)

Brasov History

Bran CastleBrasov history entered a new chapter when the city became a part of Romania in 1918, when Transylvania was incorporated by the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia. After World War II, when the communist party came in power, Brasov was the site of a second wave of persecutions: the Saxons were either deported to Siberia, or forced to immigrate. Brasov was transformed into a major industrial city and renamed “Stalin”. There hasn’t been too much publicity around the events that took place in 1987 at “Tractorul” plant, when the employees went on strike and protested against the communist regime, although...
