This small museum is worth a look, if you are in the city center of Weingarten. It contains the history of the Alamannen, a tribe living in that area over 1700 years before. Also findings are exhibited there, even some burrial places reconstruction. In the area of Weingarten, at the outskirts of the town, a graveyard by the Alamannen has been found, containing more than 100 graves.
The museum has recently been renovated in 2008, offering now a completely new way of exhibitons. Also for kids there´s a lot they can touch and work by themselves.
