One of the main attractions of Tampa, I would say, apart maybe from the Busch Garden adventure park. At the Lowry Park Zoo a wide range of animals can be seen in creative surroundings, like the monkeys' 'house' which is full of branches, ropes and things to climb on, hang from.

The parrot feeding area is also interesting, these birds are really not scared of you, especially if you've got nectar! :) The Sulawesi Aviary and the Asian Gardens were my top favorites in the zoo. You have to see to know why. The giraffes can be fed also, though there is always a big line! It is a great zoo both for adults and kids.

Tampa was officially incorporated as Village of Tampa on January 18, 1849 and became home to 185 inhabitants. Later it was again reincorporated as a town on December 15 1885.
