There are lots of wild clubs and bars in Rio, especially the high-class ones on the more popular beaches like Ipanema and Leblon. But if you are looking for something quieter, I advise you to check out Sacrilegio, located in an old renovated building, where you can escape the sounds of cheesy pop music and listen to some quality Brazilian live music.

The crowd is very cheery but not at all pretentious, so you can relax without worrying about how you might look or whether your dance moves are silly (though nobody can compete with the innate dancing skills of the Brazilians)

Rio De Janeiro Nightlife

For all dance lovers, there are a number of bars and discotheques that are always crowded. You don’t need any particular name of such places; you will find a dance floor in most of these places. Sit and watch people on the dance floors or join them to shake a leg on your favorite number and have a blast! Cariocas often meet at some bar or café to sit and enjoy a glass of beer before they go out [...]
