The Alabama State Capitol Building is the first thing that you should visit in Montgomery. The building has witnessed events such as the declaration of a newly formed Confederate States of America by Jefferson Davis or Dr. Martin Luther King Selma to Montgomery Civil rights march. Make sure you enter from the front and do not miss to grab a white map, it will be very easy to find your way around with it.
