The Basilica of Santa Maria della Misericordia, was built in 1447 from an ancient votive chapel, within a single day. This should give saefty before the threat of the plague. 1734 the Basilica of Santa Maria della Misericordia was decorated with scenes from the life of Mary, a great art example with marble, stucco and paintings. 1921 the life of Jesus was built-in. Later on an external portico and a wrought-iron gate were added. If you like churches and the cristian art, visit the place.
