This is probably the most famous beach in LA and maybe one of the most famous beaches in the world. There are hundreds of artists that present their work, perform acts or just goof around a little. It's one of the places you need to go to if you want to see crazy people. Venice beach is another place that will let you escape from the daily stress of LA life. Go there on Saturdays, as there is much more happening there than during the week. There are a lot of funky shops and places to grab food or coffee as well. There are also places where you can rent rollerblades or bikes, so when you go there, you sure won't be bored.

Price:
No entrance.
Shops and restaurants are quite cheap. Don't expect Dolce & Gabbana stores though.

Opening Hours:
Try to leave before it gets dark. The place is nice and crowded most of the week, but Saturday is usually the best.

How to get there:
Drive West on the 10 Freeway. Get off on 4th street near Santa Monica and head South. Take a right on Pico and the a left on eather Ocean or Main. Drive South for about 3 Miles.
