It doesn't look much from the outside (resembles a huge, flat, gray box), but inside you have the opportunity to learn some really interesting and useful things about Florida, Key West, the Eco-system and underwater wildlife.

There are stands that tell the story of beaches, mangroves, hammocks, and from all of the 'attractions', the Marine exhibit is maybe the most interesting. The life on the reef is presented with pictures, real-life animals and plants. It is very interesting.

Oh, and I have to tell the best thing about this center: the admission is free. There's no entrance fee, you can explore the building for no charge.

Address:

Don't miss to see the Aquarius exhibit, which is a kind of mini-laboratory where you can go inside and learn how scientists live under the sea. It's pretty amazing.Reply

Key West Travel guide

Nightlife in Key West is mostly concentrated in its bars that feature regular live music till as late as 4 am. The most famous ones are packed around the northern end of Duval Street, but if you feel like staying low key, go south of the street. Key West, with its history, attractions, extravagant landscaping, and highbrow shops, can reign as the focal point for your sojourn any time of year. [...]
