It doesn't look much from the outside (resembles a huge, flat, gray box), but inside you have the opportunity to learn some really interesting and useful things about Florida, Key West, the Eco-system and underwater wildlife.

There are stands that tell the story of beaches, mangroves, hammocks, and from all of the 'attractions', the Marine exhibit is maybe the most interesting. The life on the reef is presented with pictures, real-life animals and plants. It is very interesting.

Oh, and I have to tell the best thing about this center: the admission is free. There's no entrance fee, you can explore the building for no charge.

Address:
33 W Circle Key Dr, Ocoee, FL 34761, USA

Opening Hours:
Daily (except Monday) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Don't miss to see the Aquarius exhibit, which is a kind of mini-laboratory where you can go inside and learn how scientists live under the sea. It's pretty amazing.Reply

Key West Sights

The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum is an important Key West sight. The mansion is in itself grand and to top it all, it has been the scene where the Nobel Laureate author composed his literary masterpieces. Here you will also come across many descendents of Hemingway’s polydactyl cats. Then, there are the area museums – the Audubon House Museum, Curry Mansion Museum, Flagler Station [...]
