- City center
The Alhambra is situated on the top of the hill La Sabika watching over the whole city. It was a fortress from the 9th century, but became a castle and cultural and political center in the 13th century.
You can't just simply tell how beautiful it is, the arcades, the gates all wonderfully crenelated. It is like the whole place is a detailed painting. Everything is amazing about it.
The number of the tickets sold per day are limited and it is also crowded, so you better buy a ticket in advance.
You should also read Washington Irwing's novel, The Tales of the Alhambra, it's great! :)
Address:
On the top of the hill, hard to miss.
Price:
General ticket is 12 Euros
Ticket only to the Gardens is 6 Euros.
