We can never be too confident and complacent about leaving our belongings properly. Well, I took it for granted. Being the careless student that I was (I was in Dublin for a short holiday – as I was an intern in a university in the UK, and was complacent as I thought it was a safe place to be). Well, I was busy shopping, and after shopping, I haphazardly placed my wallet in my backpack and zipped it up. Five seconds later, my friend realized that my bag was unzipped – wallet GONE! Moral of the story, don’t take things for granted, and always be mindful of your belongings.
Tip no 1: If you are carrying a backpack, always make sure it is sling to the front. Although it is uncomfortable, it might save you a whole lot of trouble (Thank God for me, my passport was intact).
Tip no 2: If you are not carrying a bag, for men especially, it is advisable to place your wallet in the front pocket, rather than the back.
Tip no 3: A no-brainer – ALWAYS split your cash. Put some in your shoes/boots or different pockets. I learnt it the hard way.

Dublin Sights

Dublin is the center of Irish culture and history, and a charming destination for anyone planning a holiday tour to Ireland. It is one of the world’s oldest cities, with one of the earliest references to its existence noted in the astronomer Ptolemy’s notes around 140 A.D.
