Buckingham Fountain is, I think, one of the best things about Chicago. It was built by Kate Buckingham in 1927 in the memory of her brother.

It is in Grant park and is the most amazing during the night, when the lights are the most magical.

Interesting that the fountain itself is a symbol for Lake Michigan and the 5 huge horse statues around it stand for the states that border the lake. It's huge and amazing, I like it very much.

Address:
500 S Columbus Dr
Chicago
Illinois 60605

Opening Hours:
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. every day from mid-April to mid-October
