Peachtree Center is your staple American mall, with over 60 specialty stores and six restaurants, and the only thing distinguishing it from other centres of its kind is the fact that it's underground.

Not exactly a tourist attraction, and there's really not much reason go go out of your way to visit it. If you are staying in any of the nearby hotels, Peachtree Centre is quite convenient for some quick shopping or a trip to a convenience store. Other than that, the mall is made more for residents than tourists, who can't possibly find much to do there.

Address:
Peachtree Center Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303, USA

Opening Hours:
Monday - Saturday, 10:00am - 6:00pm (retail stores)
Monday - Saturday, 7:00am - 6:00pm (eateries)

People have linked Atlanta to the civil rights movement for more than four decades. There are quite a few accomplishments of which Atlanta's African-American community is proud. Among these the most notable is the Nobel Peace Prize that Martin Luther King won. Tara, Scarlett and Rhett are names that come up when someone mentions Atlanta and some visitors are looking for Old South stereotypes [...]
