The capital of Azoategui State in Venezuela, Barcelona is an important city, having a total population of around 100 thousand inhabitants which makes it together with Caracas, Valencia and Guanta one of the main urban areas in Venezuela. Having more than 96% Roman Catholics by religion, Barcelona has a numerous population due to the great urbanization process that happened after the 1990s. Barcelona city is also the place of the three plazas Bolivar, Miranda and Boyacá which invite travelers to walking and shopping in some of the most elegant shops, also full of souvenirs and good quality products.

A traditional city, located in the eastern part of Venezuela with all its historical and modern beauties, its port and beaches, its significant location and pleasant climate, its friendly people, Barcelona is a touristic destination that should be taken into consideration when deciding to travel to Venezuela and discover some of the life secrets of the Latino Americans.
