Arlington Nightlife, Virginia

A visit in Arlington VA is not complete if you have not taken a sample of its nightlife. It is a historical site with lots of monuments and museums. However, it still has more to offer like its fine restaurant and superb pubs and bars.

Going to Arlington just requires a quick trip from Washington DC via Interstate 66 and 395. It is also located within the vicinity of Dulles International and the Reagan National airport. Travelling through Arlington offers a lot of sites like the Arlington National cemetery and Marine Corps Memorial. It also has hotels, shopping malls, and a host of government offices.

Among Arlington’s areas, Clarendon is perhaps the most inviting. Clarendon is located within Clarendon Boulevard. Going by car you just need to take Highway 50 from the District of Columbia and it will take you straight to Clarendon Blvd. But mind your parking could be a bit of a challenge. Another alternative is to take the Orange Line Metro and just get off in the middle of Clarendon then just take a walk.

A good stop along Clarendon Blvd is the Best Cellars. They usually have wine tasting every day that comes with matching food items. The staff is nice and very knowledgeable about their wines. They offer a very good selection of affordable and eclectic wines, so pick your choice.

If you want to wine and dine in a different setting just walk up the street to Harry’s Tap Room. The ambiance there is great as they have an open air two level dining area. It’s recommended that you come early so you could have a glass of the number of wines that they are offering. To satisfy your whetting for wine there is a place there called the Eleventh Bar. The place is great for a quiet conversation and on top of that, they offer a selection of wines with appetizers to match.

If you want to grab a quick bite, Clarendon Blvd. has a lot to offer. If you prefer Thai cuisine then go to Sala Thai. They have an extensive menu of authentic Thai dishes all within reasonable prices. If your taste buds crave for Japanese then go to Endo Sushi which is just across Sala Thai. Here they have succulent sushi that will really whet your appetite. If you’re into pizza, then Faccia Luna Pizza is the place for you. They have excellent wood fire cooked pizza. It could be a little crowded but the wait could well be worth it.
