The city of Saint George is completely tranquil and a perfect destination for retirement to anyone irrespective of their taste when it comes to having fun. Tourists can visit the place during the months of September to December. The summers in St. George are extremely hot, which leaves the city inappropriate for a visit in those months. Though Utah does not experience extreme climate, the winters are usually slightly cold and pleasant.

History

Once upon a time, Saint George city used to be huge cotton and wine plantation area. Today, the primary industry is tourism. Shopping and festivals within the city are major attractions for tourists. Indoor and outdoor theatres offer exciting shows, showcasing scenic beauties and history of the place. Brigham Young, whose house is a major highlight in sightseeing, founded the city in the year 1861.

The city also sports huge golf courses. Rock climbing and snowboarding are other popular activities for locals and tourists. Lake Virgin cuts across the city and lies in the central region. Traveling within the city is easy, thanks to the bus routes connecting places. 

Saint George has different attractive places in the close vicinity to the city. On the eastern border of the city is Arizona while Washington borders the west. The river, mountains and red sandstone form a unique landscape of the city. Also, the desert and the national park are an unusual mixture on the east and south.

In one word, a visit to St George city can be simply described as ‘enthralling’.
