Kingsport Nightlife, Tennessee

Kingsport nightlife is not really hot and happening. It is not that there are no bars and clubs in the city, but most of these entertainment-spots pull down their shutters pretty early. Night owls, who look forward to partying hard at night, of course, can take short rides to nearby places like Johnson City or Bristol. In fact, locals also choose this alternative, especially during weekends.

Below Kingsport nightlife is divided under two specific headings – one, dealing with drinking holes, dance clubs and eateries within the city’s limits and the other dealing with nightlife hotspots in the neighboring cities of Bristol and Johnson City.

Kingsport Nightlife – Hotspots within the City Limits

To start with, there is the casual dining place Applebee’s International’s licensed restaurant-cum-bar, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar (at 1661, East Stone Drive).

Texas Roadhouse (at 1221, E Stone Drive) deserves a special mention, too. Famous for their big steaks (and also peanuts served in buckets), this chain restaurant also serves mouth-watering Southern fares.

Other prominent Kingsport eateries include names like Happy Hostess Restaurant (at 221 E Center Street), Sagebrush Steakhouse (at 1600 East Stone Drive), The Chop House (at 1704 N Eastman Road), Wendy’s (1801 East Stone Drive) and Woodstone the LLC (at 3500 Fort Henry Drive).

Speaking of Kingsport nightclubs, the first to be mentioned is certainly Nickelodeon Pub (at 302 East Sullivan Street); the food and drinks are good, people coming here are full of life and there is good entertainment too. Kingsport Sports Club (at 2001 American Way) is as famous for its multiple TV-screens as for the weekend band music and dancing.

Other Kingsport city clubs include names like the Bloomingdale Ruritan (at 3232 Van Horn Street), Crown Colony Clubhouse (at 20 Crown Circle), Limelight (at 417 W Stone Drive) and Underground (at 242 East Main Street). The Fire Escape (at 1433 East Center Street) takes its customers to an unusual experience.

Kingsport Nightlife – Hotspots Close-by

There are some very popular nightlife venues in Bristol and Johnson City. Some of Johnson City’s nightlife hotspots you ought to visit are Alley Cat, Bottoms Up, Cowboy Electric, Eve’s, Fuzzy Holes, Mecca Café, Pharaoh’s, Stir Fry Café, The Mouse’s Ear, The Planet. Some of Bristol’s best nighttime hangouts are Gilligans, O’malley’'s Lounge, Rock-N-Horse II, South Beach, State Line Bar & Grille.

Kingsport nightlife is especially booming on certain occasions like the New Year’s Eve, but on regular days, you either have to be content with what Kingsport has to offer or take the trouble of exploring nightlife in the other two cities nearby.
