Earlier, Klamath Falls was called Linkville when the great George Nurse actually founded this town in 1867, after River Link. All the views of this enthralling place are spectacular and serve as the perfect tourist destination. By the south of the city, the incredibly snow capped Mount Shasta can be seen. The Kingsley Filed also harbors the 186th Oregon Army National Guard infantry.

The International Migratory Bird Day Festival that is held annually is the most popular of the festivals of Klamath Falls. It occurs in the month of May at the Veterans Park and is aimed at increasing bird community awareness among people. It includes great bird walks, historic walks at Link River, and demonstrations of mist netting, bird Olympics, rehab presentation of wildlife and the bird migration obstacle-courses.
