Spring Valley, NV US: Overview   

 It is located just two miles west from the Las Vegas strip. Spring Valley’s population was of 117,390 according to the 2000 census. The city is in the Pacific Time Zone and the city’s dialing code is 702.  Spring Valley in Nevada is connected to various major highways in the US that include U.S Route 89 and U.S Route 74. The city has its own comfortable means of transportation that includes buses, taxis and many other means of transportation. Spring Valley is also home to some of the famous national parks and resorts.

One of the famous parks in Spring Valley is the Spring Valley State Park that provides water activities at its 65 acre Eagle Valley Reservoir. A visitor can enjoy boat launching and camping activities in this park. Visitors can also enjoy activities like hiking, touring and exploring the historically famous Ranch House Museum. The park is situated 20 miles east of a place called Pioche, that can be visited on the State Route 322. The park remains open throughout the year, although snowfall often makes access of visitors difficult.

Spring Valley offers the biggest state park called the Valley of Fire which is a popular side trip only 55 miles away from Las Vegas. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the Mojave Desert where one would be able to see many red rocks, incredible trees and the apparent Native American History. Adventures like camping, hiking and picnicking are all possible in this park. However, in winter, the temperatures can drop to freezing point throughout the week. Almost all the campsites available in the Valley of Fire Park are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Spring Valley’s main attractions include casinos, skiing, fishing, big-name entertainment, snowboarding, deserts, ghost towns, big-game hunting, spring wildflowers, rock climbing, Hoover Dam, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and rock hounding. Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Great Basin National Park, and the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge are few of the places where Spring Valley offers outdoor recreation opportunities to its visitors.

Spring Valley also offers a special place for tourists who are interested in gambling. There are some famous casinos in the city like the Phoenix Casino and the Portland Oregon casinos where a visitor can play some real games. It is a city where both the rich and the middle class tourist can enjoy their holiday as Spring Valley has luxurious as well as affordable hotels. Spring Valley offers a glamorous nightlife to its visitors as evening befalls. Bourbon Street, Thruster Lounges and Bar Pink Elephant are places in Spring Valley where a visitor could get some real fun.
