Bay City Travel Guide, Michigan

Formerly called Lower Saginaw and Hampton, Bay City is a city in Michigan, US located NW of Saginaw Bay. It is the county seat of Bay County and is part of the Tri-Cities Area, with Midland and Saginaw Bay. Its total land area is 11.3 sq. miles.

The place has vivacious cultural attraction. Art and culture has long been a part of Bay City’s life. The spirit of art appreciation lives until today, evident in their rich cultural life. As a result, it is common for the city to host colorful cultural activities and festivals inviting visitors from the neighboring cities.

Religion of the Bay City people is a mixture of Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Latter Day Saints, Baptist, Episcopalian and Pentecostal people. Catholics are predominant.

Transportation

The city bus and taxi can take you anywhere around the city. But you may opt to fly from MBS International Airport which has been serving the city.

The city has a strong educational foundation; its schools offer high quality education. The ratio is 18 students per one teacher.
