Apart from serving some great food and drinks, the downtown bar also offers live music. The two-storey bar has patios with excellent views of the bay.

Bull Feeney’s is another popular haunt. The place has the best varieties of Irish whiskies and scotch. If you want to listen to some live music, be there on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.

Besides, there are hosts of other watering holes in Portland like Old Port Tavern and Three Dollar Deweys. Most of these venues serve some kind of food along with the drinks; plus, there is arrangement for more entertainment in the form of dance-floors, DJ music and live band music.

Portland Nightlife – Area Clubs and Live Shows

There are many clubs in the Portland area and Asylum, Foreplay, Iguana, Liquid Blue, The Big Easy, The Billiards, The Pavilion are just a few of these. Many of these clubs have bar/pub facilities but it must be noted that they cater to different segments of club-goers/gatherings. Thus, Asylum and Foreplay are basically sports bars, while Liquid Blue and The Billiards are dance clubs. Again, while Iguana is the right option for college-going crowd, The Big Easy is a favorite with older crowd.
