Jupiter Travel Guide, Florida

A blessed place to live in is Jupiter located in North Palm Beach County. It is a place where the outdoors represents the main attraction, the beautiful beaches and the very neat and luxurious town.

Its beauty is well recognized among celebrities and lots of them have a seasonal home here. Tourists come here every year to enjoy the beautiful beaches and surroundings, the water and and the relaxed and top notch atmosphere of the town.

There’s plenty to do and see here and for those who enjoy natural wanders there is a sight not to be missed. The giant sea turtles can be seen here from May to August when they come to lay their eggs. These protected animals can be seen on free organized watching tours conducted by “Jupiter Beach Resort” and by the “Marinelife Center of Juno Beach”.

If you don’t happen to visit the place in this period at the Marinelife Center of Juno Beach you can see sea turtles all year round. The marine centre is located south of Jupiter, a place where you can learn about the coastal ecology of Northern Palm Beach County such as coral reefs and local sea life. You can see all the exhibits for free.

And because the beaches are among the main reason people come here you should know that they are less crowded than those in Palm Beach for example and you can find lots of open spaces to enjoy. One of them is John D. MacArthur Beach a huge state park of 4,000 square feet where you can sample the subtropical coastal habitat. You can find out interesting facts about the plant and animal communities. On the Singer Island you have a large option of activities including hiking, swimming and sunbathing with all the necessary facilities.

Another pearl of the region is Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse with a great variety of flora and fauna plus a great historical heritage you will be delighted to find out. This area is much appreciated as Florida really needs its green spaces as it is too urbanized. The fact that the place is registered as a Historic Place will increase your curiosity.

The Dubois Park has a great beach that is perfect for families with kids the waters being shallow and lifeguards watching over the kids. You can visit the Dubois Pioneer Home that was built in 1898 by Harry Dubois. Most of the things are there as they were some hundreds of years ago.

Windsurfers, surfers, picnic lovers and fishermen have a great spot at Ocean Beach. You can find more info about fishing possibilities at West Palm Beach Fishing Club or at Sailfish Marina & Resort. You can rent a boat and go to deep water or fish on the pier, thing is you don’t have to carry all the equipment from home you can find everything you need on the sight.

Another water based activity is canoeing and boats are to be rent too. If you would rather not explore it on your own, sign up for a guided trip. This is probably the most beautiful way to see the area and its exotic birds and reptiles.

Still connected to water there are two other more relaxing activities like scuba diving and snorkeling. The warm and clear waters are perfect for these types of activities and besides beautiful marine life you can also see some wrecks

Exploring the area on bike trails is great too as there are miles of smooth, paved roads, jut rent a bike and get going. Another way to see the area is by hiking on Blowing Rocks Preserve’s great trails that are to be found just 10-minute drive northeast of Jupiter. The scenery is great and you’ll get the chance to see Florida's tropical ecosystem that includes oceanfront dunes and mangrove wetlands.

Among other recreational activities we can mention golf and tennis. There are great courses and tennis courts. Playing golf might be a bit expensive while playing tennis can come for free if you play at the municipal courts.

With a wide variety of outdoor activities, great scenery, a variety of terrain and flora and fauna, excellent shopping facilities, plenty of local amenities, great beaches and top class accommodation, Jupiter is definitely a nice sight for sore eyes and a healer for broken hearths.
