Aurora Sights and Landmarks Guide, Colorado

 Aurora in Colorado, USA is one of the most beautiful places to visit in America. The place abounds in natural attractions and it is blessed with the bounty of nature. Given here is a list of must visits that you should not miss when you embark on a sightseeing tour round Aurora.

 Aurora Reservoir

 This beautiful water body offers recreational facilities like fishing, swimming and boating all year round. Separate fishing corners have been earmarked for anglers. It also offers Marina facilities.  

Wheel Park Aurora 

This park has been designed to keep skateboarders, in line skaters, bikers, cyclists and other people on wheels. This park features a skateboarding bowl, in line hockey rinks, a remote control car area, motocross tracks, bicycle ramps and other similar things. 

Star K Ranch Morrison Nature Center 

This place often hosts many recreational and educational events. Nature walks and walking trails crisscross this vast stretch of prairie that spreads over 200 acres.

 Sand Creek Regional Greenway

 It connects Commerce City with Aurora and is 22 km or 14 miles long. This pathway has been upgraded with the addition of 80 km or 50 miles of trail systems. This greenway happens to be located in the northern corner of Metro Denver and is very inviting to walkers, horse riders, bikers, runners, and cyclists. 

Utah Park Aurora 

Several walking trails, a playground, tennis center, indoor swimming pool, and other recreational facilities are the top draws for all ages in Utah Park. 

Grandview Dog Park Aurora

 It is what its name suggests. This is a wide 5 acre free space for pet dogs to run about and have some fun and exercise. All the dog lovers and owners congregate here in the evenings and mornings to walk their dogs.

 Jewell Wetland

 It is basically a marsh that is crisscrossed by a boardwalk, a butterfly garden and several walking trails. It is situated close to Utah Park and is a wooded area sprawling over 50 acres. 

Cherry Creek State Park 

This is one of the main attractions of Aurora and is situated between Aurora and Denver. Top attractions here are the swimming beach, shooting range and model airplane flying field with an 880 acre lake that is equipped with a rental stand and a concession stand. Anglers love to frequent this lake for it is teeming with pike, lass, bass, trout and other varieties of fish. It is an ideal spot for sailing, camping, hiking and picnicking.
