Aurora, CO US - Nightlife

Aurora abounds in nightlife hotspots and you will be spoilt for choice by the variety it offers as far as night time entertainment and midnight madness is concerned.

El Chapultepec

If jazz is the music for your soul, head straight to the “Pec” - the oldest jazz club in Denver. This club scores with jazz enthusiasts because of its friendly noisy robust ambience. It is more often than not filled with a capacity crowd and getting a toehold inside the club becomes a difficult task at times. It features an adjoining poolroom and small burrito kitchen.

The name of this nightclub is pretty appropriate for it virtually witnesses stampedes during the weekends. Fridays and Saturdays are also reserved for country western dance lessons which can be obtained absolutely free of cost from this colossal nightclub. It houses a solid oak massive dance floor that remains choc a bloc with party crowds as well as 7 bars, 1 restaurant and several pool tables.

Churchill Bar

It is basically a very refined cigar bar where you can head for some excellent pick of after dinner drinks, single malt Scotch, fine cigars and other guys stuff and it mainly caters to affluent older establishments.

 Charlie Brown’s Bar and Grill

It is located off downtown south. It is a very popular piano bar and an old one at that, dating back to 1927. It scores with its loyal fan base because of its casual, friendly, and warm ambience and has a large central bar equipped with a baby grand piano, Elvis decanters and a roomy spacious patio. The latter is used for dinner, lunch and breakfast served by the grill.

BJ’s Carousel

It is a gay bar featuring a décor with full size diminutive carousel horses. But there are no carousels, unfortunately. This south Denver bar is an old one famed for its weekend drag entertainment. Free popcorns aplenty add to the charm of the place. Wednesday nights are reserved for karaoke whereas the restaurant offers dinner every day and only brunch on Sundays.

Bull and Bush Pub and Brewery

This Cherry Creek joint has recreated a famous London pub in its fold and is an award winning bar/pub. Head to this place after dark to sample some of its award winning beers and alcoholic beverages and be regaled by Sunday evening jazz sessions belted out by regional jazz bands. You can also order from the full brew house menu.
