The two known private schools located on the Holt Blvd are the Pomona Catholic High School and the St. Joseph Elementary School. Most of the city and also its surrounding region are duly served by Pomona Unified School District. On the other hand, the city’s northern section is zoned to Claremont Unified School District.
The city is also a location of the California State Polytechnic University. This university was founded on the breakfast cereal site and is located on the western corner of the city. The university is well known for its architectural and engineering programs. Other institutions of this city include the Western University of Health Sciences.
